It all started
with Salmon

When New Zealand King Salmon needed a reliable method to package fresh fish from New Zealand on it’s long journey to Europe, they turned to Clem Smith, a little-known inventor to help. The revolutionary gel pack that he created worked. The fish started arriving in perfect condition. And Thermogard was born.

Fast-forward to today

Today, Thermogard is a global leader in cool-chain packaging.We get excited when we know a product has arrived at its destination in top shape; like it had just been pulled from the ocean, cut from the garden or freshly sealed by the butcher. Whether it is medicine to save a life, or preserving a taste sensation, we are committed to keeping product fresh and alive.
